Recap: Ursuline Academy Lions vs. Mount Notre Dame
The Ursuline Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-17 loss at the hands of Mount Notre Dame. While losing is never fun, Ursuline Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while Mount Notre Dame is ranked 27th).
Mount Notre Dame's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kailee Bransford, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Elkins, who scored 8 points.
Ursuline Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mount Notre Dame, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Ursuline Academy will head out on the road to face off against Milford at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Milford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. As for Mount Notre Dame, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Ursula Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
