Baseball Recap: Milan Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Milan and Gibson County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Milan had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 5-4. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Colin Milligan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Mallard, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Milan's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-14. As for Gibson County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Milan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gibson County, they will take on Crockett County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
