Softball Recap: Alliance Takes a Loss

After flying high against Carrollton on Wednesday, Alliance came back down to earth. The Aviators fell just short of the West Branch Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Aviators have suffered since April 9th.

Alliance saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexia Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Alliance has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for West Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alliance will venture away from home to take on Washington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Branch, they will head out to square off against Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
