Yukon had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Putnam City West on Monday. The Millers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Millers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Yukon's record is now 23-6. As for Putnam City West, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14.

Yukon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
