Cherokee barely beat Hammonton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chiefs put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 11-4 victory on Thursday. The Chiefs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Allison Cunane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Cherokee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hammonton only posted a batting average of .233.

Cherokee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hammonton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cherokee will square off against Paul VI at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hammonton, they will face off against Holy Spirit at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
