Branson/Kim is 0-4 against Cheyenne Wells since September of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Bearcats will head out to take on the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Saturday, Branson/Kim blew past Primero, posting a 73-13 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Will Doherty and Acoya Bartlett. Doherty rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries while Bartlett gained 126 total yards and three touchdowns. Bartlett also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
Branson/Kim was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

 Will Doherty
| 10/25/25 vs Primero | 137 |
| 10/18/25 vs Mountain Valley | 130 |
| 10/11/25 vs Sierra Grande | 117 |
Branson/Kim's defense made their presence known, laying out Gabe Sintas four times. Leading the way was Doherty with two sacks. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 117 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cheyenne Wells). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 75-6 win over Hanover. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Hornets are ranked 42nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cheyenne Wells didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kelby Leonard and Trevin Smith. Cheyenne Wells received some extra help from Kooper Brossman, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Branson/Kim's record now sits at 6-2. As for Cheyenne Wells, their record is now 7-1.
Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. Branson/Kim has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 164.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cheyenne Wells struggles in that department as they've been averaging 231 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Branson/Kim took a serious blow against Cheyenne Wells in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 58-8. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bearcats were down 50-0.
