Softball Recap: Oakcrest Snags 11th Win in Last 14 Games

After losing to Haddonfield the last time they met, Oakcrest decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Falcons blew past the Bulldawgs 12-2 on Friday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Emilee Richards was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Delaney Mason was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

Oakcrest has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Haddonfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakcrest will take on Cape May County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Haddonfield, they will host Gloucester Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
