Soccer Game Preview: Hewitt-Trussville vs. Briarwood Christian

The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Briarwood Christian Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hewitt-Trussville's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Hewitt-Trussville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Oak Mountain, who was ranked fourth at the time (Hewitt-Trussville was ranked sixth). Hewitt-Trussville fell just short of Oak Mountain by a score of 2-1 last Friday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Hewitt-Trussville couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Briarwood Christian kept a clean sheet against Leeds last Thursday. They blew past the Greenwave 10-0. The result was nothing new for Briarwood Christian, who have now won five matches by five goals or more so far this season.

Briarwood Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hewitt-Trussville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1.
