Basketball Recap: Nederland Drops Season-High Score on Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado

Nederland scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado Archers by a score of 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 10th.

Despite the loss, Nederland still got an impressive performance from Mason Ivey, who posted 11 points and five assists. Those 11 points gave Ivey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colton Burlingame, who had ten points.

Ivey wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Nederland was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Nederland's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
