Volleyball Recap: Springtown Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Springtown had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Peaster Greyhounds on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Porcupines have beaten the Greyhounds on their court since August 31, 2021.

Springtown had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Bailey Walker was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 assists and 14 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Peaster's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Springtown has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Godley on the 12th. As for Peaster, they will take on Tuloso-Midway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
