Basketball Recap: Alenzo Talley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shaw over Chattahoochee County + How To Watch

Shaw was the 64-45 winner over Chattahoochee County when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Saturday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shaw lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alenzo Talley, who posted 15 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Denson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Chattahoochee County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ana'Zhon (Bam) Purnell, who shot 78% from the field en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Curtis (Champ ) Simpson, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Shaw and Chattahoochee County will both be playing Russell County the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
