Basketball Recap: Emily Justice and Jillian Salts Secure Win for Carroll

With a playoff win on the line, Carroll rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Clinton Central Bulldogs 51-32. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Leading Carroll to victory were Jillian Salts and Emily Justice. Salts almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards, while Justice posted 13 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Salts also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mady Isley, who earned six points.

Despite the loss, Clinton Central still got an impressive performance from Carly Davison, who put up 13 points.

Carroll's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Clinton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-38 victory against Rossville on the 8th. Clinton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
