Football Recap: Appleton City Starts Season with Loss at Home

Appleton City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Archie Whirlwinds 70-32 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Whirlwinds: they've now lost nine in a row.

The win got Archie back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Appleton City will challenge Drexel/Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Archie, they will welcome Rich Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
