Football Recap: Suffern Mounties vs. Arlington Admirals
Suffern extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They fell 28-16 to the Arlington Admirals. The Mounties were down 21-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4. They haven't had any issues with Suffern recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Arlington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Rancourt (C), who threw for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rancourt (C)'s passing game has become a key predictor of the Admirals' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. Brent Withers helped Rancourt (C) out on the ground, picking up 80 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 38 yards.
