Gulf won the last time they faced Anclote and things went their way on Saturday too. The Buccaneers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sharks, sneaking past 2-1.

Gulf had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Gulf's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Anclote, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Gulf has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fivay on the 27th. As for Anclote, they will be playing at home against Tarpon Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
