Johnstown Christian extends road losing streak to five

Recap: Johnstown Christian Bluejays vs. Blair County Christian Bobcats

This season hasn't been kind to the Johnstown Christian Bluejays, who are still winless after their seventh match. They were dealt a 57-14 defeat at the hands of Blair County Christian on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Johnstown Christian has scored all season.

Blair County Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Marucci, who scored ten points along with seven steals. Marucci has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micaiah Marucci, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Johnstown Christian's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.2 points per game. As for Blair County Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Johnstown Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against DuBois Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Blair County Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Huntingdon Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
