Soccer Game Preview: South Summit vs. Grantsville

The South Summit Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Grantsville Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. South Summit's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when South Summit took on Union on Wednesday. South Summit fell just short of Union by a score of 2-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Wildcats couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Grantsville's offense. They came up short against Morgan on Wednesday, falling 8-0. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grantsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

South Summit took their victory against Grantsville when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. Does South Summit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grantsville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
