Basketball Recap: Lakeshore Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Lakeshore waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants 55-37. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Maroon Giants are ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeshore's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games. As for Kalamazoo Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
