Stroudsburg has gone a perfect 10-0 against East Stroudsburg North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, East Stroudsburg North made sure to put some runs up on the board against William Allen on Monday. The Timberwolves were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Canaries. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Timberwolves' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Jennika Doyle made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Alexia Marie Robinson and Jaylean Marcoux did most of the damage at the plate: Robinson went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Marcoux went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Marcoux has hit this season. Joselin Flores was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Stroudsburg has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for East Stroudsburg North, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11.
East Stroudsburg North's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stroudsburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. It's a different story for East Stroudsburg North, though, as they've only averaged .143. Will they be able to contain Stroudsburg's hitters?
Everything went Stroudsburg's way against East Stroudsburg North in their previous meeting on April 1st, as Stroudsburg made off with a 9-0 victory.
