Preview: Shorewood Stormrays vs. Nathan Hale Raiders
After three games on the road, Shorewood is heading back home. They will take on The Nathan Hale Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Shorewood is ranked 234th, while Nathan Hale is ranked 223rd).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 44-10, which was the final score in Shorewood's tilt against Oak Harbor on Friday.
Meanwhile, after only ten points in their last matchup, Nathan Hale made sure to put some points up on the board against Ingraham on Friday. Nathan Hale walked away with a 42-33 win over Ingraham. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Nathan Hale.
Liam Carey looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 320 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in a rushing score. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayvon Pickering, who picked up 190 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Shorewood's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.8 points per game. As for Nathan Hale, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
