Basketball Recap: South Barber Takes a Loss

South Barber lost against Attica last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Barber Chieftains had to suffer through a 74-20 loss at the hands of the Attica Bulldogs. The Chieftains were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-13.

It was another big night for Zoie Redgate, who went 7-for-11 from beyond the arc on her way to 33 points in addition to six boards and three steals for Attica. Redgate is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 37 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Liberty Swingle, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

South Barber is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-2. As for Attica, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

South Barber wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-36 defeat against Stafford on the 7th. As for Attica, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-30 victory against Fairfield on the 7th.
