Football Game Recap: Clearwater/Orchard vs. West Holt

When you finish with 420 more yards than your opponent, a favorable outcome is sure to follow. Clearwater/Orchard put a hurting on West Holt to the tune of 58-6. West Holt can consider this payback for the 20-35 defeat they dealt Clearwater/Orchard the last time the teams encountered one another.

Clearwater/Orchard started the matchup off right with 36 first-half points. Meanwhile, West Holt couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 36-0 heading into the break. The Clearwater/Orchard defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.

No one put up better numbers for Clearwater/Orchard than senior Jacob Long, who brought his A game into the match. He snatched 3 receiving TDs and picked up 83 yards on the ground. Junior Eli Macke was in the mix, too, providing Clearwater/Orchard with 3 touchdowns. The victory bumped their record up to 2-1. West Holt are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.

Next week Clearwater/Orchard take on Central Valley at 7:00 PM. Central Valley will need to watch out since Clearwater/Orchard have now posted big point totals in their last three contests. West Holt will look to defend their home turf against Ainsworth at 7:00 PM.
