Softball Recap: Tri-Township Tigers vs. Culver Community Cavaliers
Tri-Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-4 to the Culver Community Cavaliers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.
Kylee Shoupe put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Shoupe was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Shoupe wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Cox, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Tri-Township's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Culver Community, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Township will welcome Washington Township at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Culver Community, they will host Rochester at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
