Baseball Recap: Leeds Takes a Loss

Leeds managed to slip by Vincent the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Greenwave came up short against the Yellow Jackets on Friday, falling 8-2. The Greenwave were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Leeds saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Calvin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Leeds' loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Vincent, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Leeds will take on St. Clair County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Greenwave are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Fighting Saints a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for Vincent, they will square off against Pelham at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
