Basketball Recap: St. John XXIII Takes a Loss

St. John XXIII lost against Village back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. John XXIII Lions fell 51-38 to the Village Vikings. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. John XXIII's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Village, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

St. John XXIII will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Pius X on January 14, 2025. As for Village, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bay Area Christian at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Village is facing Bay Area Christian at the right time seeing as Bay Area Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
