Football Recap: Curtis Warriors vs. Erasmus Hall Dutchmen
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Curtis can now relate to. They received a blow on Sunday as they fell 44-27 to the Erasmus Hall Dutchmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dutchmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-19 back in October.
Erasmus Hall was led to victory by Ameir Morrow and Kendu Brown. Morrow gained 137 total yards and two touchdowns, while Brown threw for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. What's more, Brown racked up 51 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September.
Curtis' defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Erasmus Hall, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.
Curtis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Erasmus Hall, they have already played their next contest, a 34-27 victory against Tottenville on the 30th.
