Baseball Game Preview: Overlea Falcons vs. Chesapeake Bay Hawks

The Overlea Falcons will head out to challenge the Chesapeake Bay Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Overlea has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Overlea lost 27-20 to Carver A&T on Monday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake got the win against Milford Mill Academy on Monday by a conclusive 19-1. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Bay Hawks this season.

Chesapeake has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Overlea, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Overlea suffered a grim 14-5 defeat to Chesapeake in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
