Basketball Recap: Basha Comes Up Short

Basha played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 67-29 loss at the hands of the Pinnacle Pioneers. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amira Reynolds, who posted eight points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Garner, who scored seven points.

Pinnacle's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Fraley, who went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Norah Moo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Basha and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Pinnacle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Basha didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-65 defeat against Hamilton on the 17th. As for Pinnacle, they will welcome Valley Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pinnacle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Valley Vista likes a good challenge.
