Ocoee is 8-1 against East River since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ocoee Knights will welcome the East River Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Ocoee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Ocoee strolled past Seminole with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Dakara Merthie was her usual excellent self, going 9 of 19 on her way to 25 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ocoee's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Holden, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East River). They took down Davenport 65-48 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

East River pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Ocoee, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Ocoee was able to grind out a solid win over East River when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 35-28. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was East River's Madyson Burney, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 18 points and five steals. Now that she won't be playing on Thursday, will it be easier for Ocoee to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
