Basketball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Comes Up Short

Newport - Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 65-55 to the Lincoln Lynx. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lynx apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Newport - Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

When Newport - Bellevue and Lincoln next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Newport - Bellevue will try to stop Monroe's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Lincoln will square off against Franklin and their three-game winning streak at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
