Cartersville waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Jonesboro Cardinals. That's more bragging rights for the Hurricanes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cartersville easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12.

Amara Ejieke paced Cartersville's offense, picking up ten kills. Ejieke got some help from Emma Wall and her 12 assists. Wall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Cartersville's record now sits at 38-6. As for Jonesboro, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 20-15.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Cartersville and Woodland will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jonesboro, they will challenge Starr's Mill at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
