Whitehall lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pocono Mountain East, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Zephyrs were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Cardinals on Saturday. Considering the Zephyrs have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Seth Hoderewski was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Schaedel, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Whitehall pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Pocono Mountain East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.
As of now, neither Whitehall nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
