Recap: Clarkson/Leigh Patriots vs. Pierce Bluejays
The Clarkson/Leigh Patriots lost against the Pierce Bluejays back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Clarkson/Leigh ended up on the wrong side of a rough 52-29 walloping at the hands of Pierce. Clarkson/Leigh has struggled against Pierce recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Mcmullin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Steffensmeier, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Clarkson/Leigh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Pierce, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarkson/Leigh will take on Stanton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stanton is coming into the matchup with nine straight defeats on the road, meaning Clarkson/Leigh will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Pierce, they will be playing at home against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Thursday. Guardian Angels Central Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pierce surely won't give up without a fight.
