Baseball Game Preview: Paso Robles Bearcats vs. San Luis Obispo Tigers

The Paso Robles Bearcats are taking a road trip to face off against the San Luis Obispo Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paso Robles will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Paso Robles will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating San Luis Obispo, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-0 victory on Thursday. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Nate Contreras made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Paso Robles is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Contreras was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Xander Hermanson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Blayne Lowry, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Paso Robles pushed their record up to 9-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for San Luis Obispo, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
