Soccer Recap: Broome Comes Up Short

Broome lost against Chapman back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Centurions came up short against the Panthers, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, Broome can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Chapman are ranked 84th).

Broome dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Chapman, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Broome and Chapman will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Centurions see the pitch they'll take on Woodruff at 7:15 p.m. on the 15th. As for Chapman, their break will end when they face Greer Middle College at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th.
