Baseball Game Preview: Glen Rose Beavers vs. Atkins Red Devils

The Glen Rose Beavers will face off against the Atkins Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Glen Rose's offense. They came up short against Harmony Grove on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The Beavers haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Atkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Two Rivers. Even if the Red Devils couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Cooper Goodall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Wyatt Brown was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Atkins' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Glen Rose, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
