Volleyball Recap: Rittman Finds Home Court Redemption Against Medina Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Rittman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Medina Christian Academy Knights on Thursday.

Rittman had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

Alexis Olinger paced Rittman's offense, picking up nine kills. Olinger got some help from Mackenzie Beltz and her 28 assists. Beltz also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Abigail Hill, racking up three apiece.

The win got Rittman back to even at 1-1. As for Medina Christian Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Rittman and Medina Christian Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Indians will square off against rival Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Medina Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Horizon Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
