De Leon found a leader in Bryce Burkeen as the squad took down Hico on Friday. Burkeen forced one fumble, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also posted 130 receiving yards, which is notable because De Leon is undefeated when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
