EJ Joyner leads a balanced attack to beat Linden

Recap: Peninsula Catholic Knights vs. Linden Tigers

On Saturday, it was close, but Peninsula Catholic sidestepped Linden for a 55-53 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Peninsula Catholic.

Peninsula Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was EJ Joyner out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The game was Joyner's third in a row with at least ten points. Jaylen Wynn was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Peninsula Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Linden, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.

Peninsula Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Hampton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Linden will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rahway on January 2nd. Rahway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Linden is ranked 28th).
