Softball Preview: Champion Golden Flashes vs. Walsh Jesuit Warriors

The Champion Golden Flashes will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Walsh Jesuit Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Walsh Jesuit is hoping to do on Tuesday what Memorial couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Champion's winning streak, which now stands at six games. Champion beat Memorial by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-0. Champion's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

Memorial's batters probably weren't too happy with Sam Strock, who pitched a no hitter (she gave up no walks).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Warzala, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Grace Hadley was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Walsh Jesuit put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Padua Franciscan as Walsh Jesuit made off with a 9-2 victory.

Champion pushed their record up to 17-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Walsh Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 17-0.
