Recap: Johnsburg Central Jaguars vs. Bolton Central Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Johnsburg Central Jaguars, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were dealt a 72-17 loss at the hands of Bolton Central on Friday. While losing is never fun, Johnsburg Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Bolton Central is ranked 154th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bolton Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jadynn Egloff, who scored 15 points. The contest was Egloff's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Hannah Daken was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Johnsburg Central bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bolton Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnsburg Central will square off against Boquet Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Boquet Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. Bolton Central will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Willsboro Central at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th.
