Burbank proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Jefferson Mustangs 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Nathaniel Boone, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Bernsen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Burbank's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.
