Basketball Recap: Whitfield Takes a Loss

If Whitfield was riding high fresh off their 77-57 takedown of Hazelwood West last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Whitfield Warriors might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Westminster Christian Wildcats an easy 81-56 victory. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Whitfield now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Westminster Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

After both having extra time off, Whitfield and Lutheran North will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Westminster Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Francis Borgia at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
