Baseball Recap: Chapel Hill Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northern Durham

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chapel Hill). They never let the Northern Durham Knights get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Jackson Evans looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, James Staats was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of David Campos, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
