Basketball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Tucson High Magnet School Badgers
Mountain Pointe unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 56-45 to the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers on Wednesday. The Pride's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.
Despite the defeat, Mountain Pointe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amora Mask dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Alaya Sumler was another key player, scoring nine points along with two steals.
