Soccer Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Abingdon Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Abingdon this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in April.

Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Abingdon, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ridgeview is set to challenge their familiar foe Central Wise at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Abingdon will take on rival Gate City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Abingdon are on a four-game streak of home wins, Gate City a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
