The Brentwood Bruins will head out on the road to take on the Franklin Admirals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brentwood's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Franklin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Brentwood made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ravenwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Brentwood blew past Ravenwood 9-3 on Friday. That six run margin sets a new team best for the Bruins this season.

Marina Mason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Lila Driver was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Maggie McClendon was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to Centennial.
Chloe Rowland put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Rowland was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Addison Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Brentwood and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Everything went Brentwood's way against Franklin in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Brentwood made off with an 18-8 win. Will Brentwood repeat their success, or does Franklin has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
