It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Conestoga Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Exeter Township Eagles 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Buckskins sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Cordell Bair was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Esbenshade, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Conestoga Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Exeter Township, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
Conestoga Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-3 defeat against Palmyra on the 23rd. Exeter Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
