Softball Game Preview: Hanna Golden Eagles vs. Harlingen Cardinals

Hanna is 2-8 against Harlingen since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Hanna is taking a road trip to take on Harlingen at 6:30 p.m. Hanna has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hanna came up short against Veterans Memorial on Friday, falling 20-3. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hanna saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Harlingen faced off against Weslaco on Friday. Harlingen lost 19-2 to Weslaco. The Cardinals have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 11-9. As for Hanna, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1.

Hanna suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Harlingen in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Hanna avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
