Basketball Recap: Valley Central Takes a Loss

Valley Central lost against Wallkill back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Valley Central Vikings took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wallkill Panthers. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoe Mesuch continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wallkill, going 8-for-19 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Mesuch's evening made it 25 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Aoife Brady was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.

Valley Central now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Wallkill, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.

Valley Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wallkill, they have already played their next game, a 58-42 victory against Cornwall Central on the 6th.
